This March, Lanta Animal Welfare urgently needs vets to join our mobile clinics on the Southern coast of Thailand!
A small team of veterinarians will be going to Koh Phayam and Ao Nang from 1-5th of March and 28th – 1st April to sterilise and treat their strays, do you know the perfect vet for the job?
Food & Accommodation is provided for the duration of their stay.
We need:
– Qualified veterinarians (5 years surgical experience)
– Qualified vet nurses or vet assistants/techs (min 1 year clinical experience)
For the following two clinics:
Ao Nang (surgical days 1st March – 4th/5th March) – Nearest airport Krabi (several internal flights a day from Bangkok).
Koh Phayam (surgical days 28th March – 1st April) – Nearest airport Ranong (internal flight from Bangkok – Nokair). Travel can be provided from Krabi.
Vets are invited to attend both clinics, but are also accepting vets only available for one.
– Trained veterinarian (min 3 years surgical/clinical small animal experience)
Providing cover at the Lanta Animal Welfare centre (surgical days 26th February – 12th March) with an extension offered if desired – most of our vets stay for a month or longer!
This vital work not only substantially helps to control the stray population and relieve suffering cats and dogs but is also a great opportunity to make some lifelong friends in a beautiful sunny part of South East Asia, known for it’s crystalline ocean and sunny beaches.
We estimate there will be about 80 sterilisations a day, with the majority of these being dogs. On our last clinic to Koh Phagnan, we sterilised 347 animals!
