Give a rescue animal a forever home

It is much easier than you think! We handle all the details so that the process is smooth and simple for you.

The Process is Simple!

The dogs and cats available for adoption have all been health checked and assessed by our team and ready to go to their new forever homes and our Adoption Coordinator will guide you through the whole process.

Why offer a dog or a cat from Thailand a home? While we work hard on promoting local adoptions, the majority of our animals travel overseas to their new owners. The more animals we rehome, the more we can take in and help!

Please scroll down for information on the procedure and costs, as well as the regulations applicable to your country. For adoptions abroad we will ensure the animal is fully vaccinated, has the necessary blood tests and fulfills the quarantine rules.

Adopting an Animal by Country

Animal export rules vary from country to country – please follow this link: https://www.pettravel.com/passportnew.cfm and select your country to see the full list of requirements.

In most cases cats and dogs must be a minimum of 3-6 months old and require a set of vaccinations against common illnesses, a rabies vaccination, a microchip, a health certificate plus a worming before departure. For all countries in Europe (and other varying destinations – not inc North America) a rabies serology certificate is required to prove that the animal is rabies free. This process takes up to 4 months and is known as the animals ‘quarantine’. Once this is completed in Thailand the animal is free to travel and no further quarantine is required at the final destination.

Adopting an Animal: Costs

Below is an outline of basic costs and estimates associated with overseas adoption.

We want to emphasise that we do not make money on adoptions; we are simply happy to get homeless animals to good forever homes – this just covers our costs.

First installment, this is payable when the adoption agreement is signed:

16,000 THB for a cat and 18,000 for a dog.

These costs help cover the following: Microchip, all vaccinations, parasite treatment, various medical tests to ensure the animal is healthy, rabies serology test (if applicable), flight crate, paperwork expenses and sponsorship. Sponsorship is 1000THB per month whilst they wait for their flight home.

Second installment, this is payable one week before travel.

This depends mostly on the cost of the animal’s flight and any other necessary travel to the departure airport as well as potential boarding costs. Airline costs vary greatly and can range from $300 – $750 (US). We will always try to keep costs as low as possible.

A rough estimate of the TOTAL COSTS to adopt a cat depending on the region:

North America : 900-1100 USD
EU : 800-1000 Euros
UK : 700-900 Pounds

A rough estimate of the TOTAL COST to adopt a dog depending on the region:
North America : 1000-1600 USD
EU : 1000-1600 Euros
UK : 900-1400 Pounds
