About Me
Hi, my name is Solstice!
As poorly as I was feeling when I arrived to Lanta Animal Welfare, now I am fit and healthy and happy!
My sole mission now is to find a forever home. I am a tiny little shy at first, but I love human contact when I feel a little more trusting and get to know you better! I get on well with other dogs too, so if you already have a canine friend at home, you can just add me to your pack!
What Makes Me Special
I am a very calm and gentle girl and I am incredibly curious about everything that goes on around me. That’s why my ears are always standing to attention! Listen and learn, that’s my motto. I have that classic Thai dog look and a beautiful long tail that has a cute little kink in it. Some of the volunteers around here say that it looks a bit like a magic wand!
I have never visited a wizard school, but I think I would be smart enough. The LAW staff always tell me I am very good at walking on the lead!
Even though my name is Solstice I was actually born on New Years Day 2023. I hope I am in a forever home for my first birthday – that would truly be a Happy New Year!

Why am I Here at Lanta Animal Welfare?
The team from LAW rescued me from Pak Meng in Trang Province in June 2023 when I was about 6 months old. I had a terrible open wound on my side that was badly infected and I was so hungry! I am all healed now and I am enjoying life at LAW – although I see this as a temporary home and hope soon, I can find a forever home with a loving family.
