I don’t think I have much time left...

When I was first brought to Lanta Animal Welfare I was severely dehydrated, malnourished, and barely hanging on. After some tests, they found out I have chronic kidney disease. It means I’ll need special care for the rest of my life—however long that might be.

And yes, the “chronic” part of my illness means there’s no cure. But you know what? I’m okay with that. For the first time, I’m not scared about where my next meal will come from. I don’t have to scramble for shelter or fight off other cats just to survive. Here, I’m cared for with so much love and more cuddles than I ever dreamed of. The kind people here monitor me daily, making sure I’m okay.

I know my chances of finding a forever home are slim to none. Not many people want an older cat with a short future, and ongoing medical needs. But maybe you could do something special for me?
