Hi, my name is Hope!
I’m such a big softie, and I love people.
LAW gave me my wonderful name, Hope. That’s because they hoped I would recover from my cancer, which was very, very serious. I also had my own sense of hope that I could beat cancer. And I did! Now I’m a happy cancer-free doggie!
If I want attention and love I know just how to get it – I just show off the sweetest puppy eyes and people will come to give me a cuddle or a kiss! Right in the middle of my head there is a brown dot and that’s where the LAW volunteers like to kiss me gently : ) I love it!
And I tell you what else I love – going for walks. Oh my word, they are almost as much fun as cuddle time. I am always so excited to get out of my kennel. I move so fast, I reckon I could be in the doggie Olympics! I like all my walks, but the beach is my favourite. I love to run in the sand and play in the ocean. I bark at the waves and try to catch them in my mouth. All the tourists think I’m very funny and charming. And they can’t all be wrong, can they?
I was a stray dog suffering from something called TVT cancer. I could feel the pain but I didn’t know what to do. I was very weak, barely even able to find food. I thought I would die… but I still had hope.
And that hope paid off when Lanta Animal Welfare rescued me. I trust the team here 100% to take care of me. I was in the hospital for months and I had so many treatments but I knew it was all for my own good. Finally, my tumour was shrunk following a full series of chemotherapy and now I’m recovered from my illness and ready to be a part of someone’s family.
