Hi, I’m Westlyn! I’ve been at the shelter for over two years now, and I’ve come a long way (but more on that below). I have some pretty large and permanent scars—but those scars don’t define me. At first, I was frightened of everything, but with time, love, and patience, I’ve learned to trust again. Now, I’m often happy to see people, and I even flash a big smile—especially if I know they’re about to play a training game with me or offer a little treat! I love learning new things, and every day, I feel a little braver. My past was painful, but my future? I hope it’s full of love.
I may take a little time to trust, but once I do, I have so much love to give. I’m gentle, observant, and love quiet moments with my favorite people. Watching the world from a cozy spot is one of my favorite things, but I also enjoy exploring when I feel safe. My journey has been long, but I’m finally ready to find my forever family—one that will be patient, kind, and willing to let me continue growing at my own pace.
When I was rescued, I was hiding in a rubber plantation, too scared to move. Someone had poured burning hot oil on my back, and I didn’t know if I’d ever feel safe again. But thanks to the kind people here, I’ve slowly learned that not all humans are scary. These days, I’m even brave enough to go on tours and meet new people! Now that I’ve regained some confidence, I have a new dream too—to have a family of my own. Can you help make my dream come true?
