Hi, I’m Westlyn! I’ve been at the shelter for over two years now, and I’ve come a long way. I have some pretty large and permanent scars, but those scars do not define me. At first, I was frightened of everything, but with time, love, and patience, I’ve learned to trust again. Now, I’m often happy to see people, and I even flash a big smile, especially if I know they are about to play a training game with me or offer a little treat. I love learning new things, and every day I feel a little braver. My past was painful, but my future, I hope, is full of love.

I may take a little time to trust, but once I do, I have so much love to give. I’m gentle, observant, and enjoy quiet moments with my favorite people. Watching the world from a cozy spot is one of my favorite things, but I also enjoy exploring when I feel safe. My journey has been long, but I am finally ready to find my forever family, one that will be patient, kind, and willing to let me continue growing at my own pace.

When I was rescued, I was hiding in a rubber plantation, too scared to move. Someone had poured burning hot oil on my back, and I did not know if I would ever feel safe again. But thanks to the kind people here, I have slowly learned that not all humans are scary. These days, I am even brave enough to go on tours and meet new people. Now that I’ve regained some confidence, I have a new dream too, to have a family of my own. Can you help make my dream come true?
